[On Tuesday, the skies have cleared and there are no Celestial Watchers to parade around town distractingly, and Alisaie is back outside of the town on the beach! Oh hey 'sup Revali.]
It seems we weren't entirely correct when we theorized we were intentionally being held within the city's walls.
[Apparently admitting that much is a bit frustrating, as if him raising his voice, not even greeting, and sweeping a wing up with exasperation aren't enough hints he's pretty dang frustrated!]
I have been looking around all this time for anything to try to understand what was so dangerous, and there's nothing!
[Well, there was that corpse, there was the stuff from the lighthouse. However, everything seems to indicate all that stuff had happened earlier than their arrival! It's not like the lighthouse caretaker got attacked on the same day they had arrived, so...what was it that spooked the daemons so badly? Spectres? A fear of the weather? Something else?
Not knowing the threats hanging around really bothers him. He finally turns to Alisaie]
[Honestly the lack of a greeting doesn't bother her in the slightest. She's not interested in small talk; that's more Alphinaud's thing than hers.]
Perhaps what was so dangerous then has gone now.
[Which is weird, since she thought the Spectres were supposed to be dangerous inside the town, but...? Alisaie frowns, trying to piece together a new explanation.]
Have you heard of these "Spectres" the children of this city talk about? I had initially thought they appeared inside the town, but now I wonder if they weren't possibly outside the city when we sought to leave it.
In that case there should be signs of them somewhere. Unless they are specters. [And turns out the name everyone has been using is tragically typoed] Something that proves there was a threat here, some sort of...something!
[It's far easier to face the unknown when you can at least have a general idea of what you're against. Having no idea? That's rough, that makes it much harder to plan ahead. If there's nothing they're just a biiiiig question mark, and that's just unsettling]
Not that I'm interested in encountering one. As much as I'd revel in a fight, it'd be pointless to get their attention, given how they attack adults.
And given the name, I expect I could do little against them without my magic. [This dinky little elf sure did just insinuate she's an adult, what of it.] Physical weapons can only do so much against incorporeal beings, which I suspect these to be.
[It makes sense, given the name, right? Sure.]
If they are indeed incorporeal, it would further explain why we seem to have found no trace of them.
Light arrows? [Those sound like Thancred's bullets, so...] I suspect we would need to imbue normal arrows with light in order to make those? From my understanding, none of us can do so right now.
Indeed, that's exactly it. Looks like we all have lost our magic. I don't get it... [He shakes his head] If we're supposed to fight anything like Spectres then what's the point of taking away anything we can use to do it?!
[He's been kind of trying to figure out what's the point of them all being here! And so far, he has gotten no good answer to that. It's really bothering him!]
[Golly, Alisae is not doing well today. Not that Revali can't blame her. He may be abrasive and salty, but hey, he's not blind to other people's feelings. He just doesn't tend to mind them all that much.
Here, though, he feels like he should...mind them a bit, at least. Not to offer words of platitude or empty encouragement about how Alphinaud probably is fine. That's not his style at all! So instead, when he approaches her, he just...]
Allow me to accompany you in searching for them all.
[...requests that, yeah. Five people being missing isn't something he can ignore at all. No way all of them are dead and the proof is hidden around. There must be something to work with!]
[Honestly, she appreciates that people aren't spending their time trying to convince her that he's fine. It doesn't matter if he's fine or not; it matters that he's missing and she doesn't know where he is! So when Revali approaches her, he gets a firm nod.]
Gladly. I covered part of the city last night, but I'm afraid I'll need to circle back around to it to ensure nothing changed overnight.
There's no way they're involved in anything that happened last night. There must be a change hinting what happened to them.
[Revali can definitely see things getting worse week by week. That much is almost a certainty. He can't see things jumping from one death to five at once! Therefore, odds are many of those currently missing are...
...perhaps not okay? But not dead. Meaning finding something hinting where they are is possible]
[It's been such a long week. Such a long week. One really can't blame her for not thinking to look around as she comes to a stop on one of the many streets of Otamo, looking at the shard at her feet.
On the one hand, she doesn't want to touch it. But on the other hand, she doesn't want to leave it either...
For a moment she thinks that maybe she'll just shove it to the side of the street, where it's less likely to be bothered, but as she steps forward to do so the light glints off of it and Revali gets to learn what a porxie is!]
[Ah, a nice, kind of familiar setting, once Revali finds himself in someone else's memory. This isn't too different from places he has seen all over Hyrule. In a way, it's a welcome change of pace.
And, truthfully, he can't help it, he actually chuckles when everyone calls that sculpture a grotesque parody of reality. That's amusing! Poor Alisaie, getting dunked on for her bad artistic abilities. Still, a porxie? What's that? Revali really, really hopes it doesn't resemble Alisaie's work or else this creature has a quite unfortunate existence!
Luckily, it looks pretty...
...
...hm]
...what exactly is that creature you brought to life?
[Honestly what it brought to mind was what Flat said about doing experiments about making meat alive, but he's giving Alisaie the benefit of doubt and think she wasn't doing anything even remotely close to that. Still, that's quite the curious creature! He has to wonder what it is]
What? [Alisaie looks up at him, startled, then back at the shard at her feet. ...and kicks it to the side; THANKS FOR DOXXING HER SHARD
Revali's question, however, is a little harder to answer.]
It's a familiar, a construct made from aether--magic.
Angelo was quite useful to us in the First. His primary function was to help us return to our own world, but I was able to channel aether through him to heal those inflicted with a terrible affliction in the place you saw.
It's magic of a kind I hadn't seen wielded with benign purposes. Calamity Ganon presumably created most of the monsters I have fought, turning his malice into flesh. To be able to use this like this...
[Well it's impressive! Instead of destroying, Alisaie uses this stuff to channel and heal. Nice!]

[But alas, not everyone is Princess Zelda. They'll have to do this the good ol' way of shooting normal arrows at it]
