[It's a large castle, after all, and everyone is distracted at the ball; Suigetsu doesn't exactly know his way around all that well, so it's literally the blind leading the blind here, but so long as they don't get lost down the hallways forever, it's all good.
It's probably easier than conducting the conversation itself, at any rate. Not that he seems especially worried about it -- he'll even find the nearest place to lounge, because why not get comfortable if this is going to be as long and arduous as it might be. That and he's been running around all night, really. Hey, at least this is way more comfortable than their last one.
There's an amused salute at her statement. Despite the succinctness of his note, it really did encapsulate so many of his feelings on the matter. That being not-said, he'll lean forward and raise a hand -- hold up a couple fingers and then put them down again in a counting motion. Gesture to her and to Taf with the unspoken question.]
[Alisaie's going to find a seat too; there's no reason not to, after all. As she does, Taf jumps from her shoulders to the arm of the chair she's chosen, stretching along it.
There are a couple things he could be asking with that, and she's not certain which question it is. But--]
Ere I answer, I've a question for you: Is it your intention to share aught I tell you with the living?
[At her caveat, he just leans back and throws back his head in a cackle without pause -- seems like he anticipated it, but then he's had a lot of free time lately; once that's done he'll readjust his mask and clothing, though he does take off his hat and place it next to him on whatever sofa or piece of furniture he's taking up space on.
It gets quite stuffy in the crowds wearing so many things and layers.
In clearer lighting, there's a hint of dark furred ears peeking out from slightly higher than normal on the sides of his head. It also makes it a little easier to read his expressions without all the shadow and bulk of the hat messing with them, perhaps. May Taf and Alisaie's embattled eyeballs do their very best.
Easy shake of the head once that's settled, then spreading his hands in a shrug. Why should he, really.]
[She lifts her hand, as though she's going to make the same motion he did a moment ago... but nothing happens.
Alisaie frowns, eyebrows coming down as she glares at her hand as though she can will her own body into submission... but while she can move it fine, there's something preventing her from making her point. After a moment, she scowls.]
Should I meet one of them face-to-face...
[She glances back up to Suigetsu, shaking her head. Regardless of which question he asked, it's not one she can answer, it seems.]
[Now that's an interesting thing -- sometimes the lack of information is as informative as the sharing of it. Of course, she could be pulling a leg or two, or misunderstanding the question entirely... but they're playing this by ear, anyway. He doesn't seem to be all that surprised or put off by the non-answer, at any rate.
Instead, he leans forward a little further and indicates her fingers, or perhaps her attempts. Tilts his head, the half-hidden ears flickering just a little, motion impossible to read in all the hair.
Thumbs-up and a thumbs-down motion, then an open palm at her. She's got the floor, it seems.]
[IT'S SO HARD TO DO THIS WITH TAF AS HER EYES is what i say as though i'm fully understanding all of these charades myself but anyway, Alisaie will give a thumbs-down, though it's entirely possible that the only reason it works is because she's not even entirely certain what question she's answering.]
My hands are tied, I'm afraid. Even now, we still don't know all the rules.
Are you under similar restrictions amongst yourselves?
[Charades are truly difficult because what is this disaster combination but they are all doing their best (maybe) (probably). Maybe this would have been easier if they both actually had daemons but. Alas. Goodnaito, sweet literal shark.
Suigetsu seems to let out what might be a sigh or a laugh or both, sitting back a little to think things over. They're both under restrictions, and their communication has been further restricted by even more things... It's almost hard to say whether this is easier than just writing letters. But still.
He raises a hand to gesture between the two of them, at their surroundings, and gives a thumbs-down. Then indicates just himself, points at the sky. Thumbs-up.]
So you may all speak freely. [That's... not entirely surprising, considering the message he'd sent her, but it's something.]
I do have a question for you. What you told me the night of the trial--about the power they hold and offered you. Do you still believe it? Would you work with them still?
