[After all of the chaos of Thursday night and Friday morning, Alisaie is more than ready to get out of the hotel and set off on a loop around the town. Sure, there aren't any sin eaters to cull here, but it's still good to keep tabs on the area to know when something changes, right?
As she's going, she swings by the alleyway where she and Yoo Joonghyuk found the strange alarms. Even though they hadn't been able to turn the handle, she feels certain that they were responsible for the sirens last night.]
Susato? [Huh. Wasn't anticipating running into you again so soon, but it's not a bad thing.]
I take it you thought to examine our discoveries again as well?
I would, if you don't mind. These were the devices that I found earlier in the week. If fortune favors us, I may be able to tell if they were indeed the source of the sound we heard last night.
If we aren't so fortunate... [she pauses for a moment, thoughtful--it feels like tempting fate, but--] I thought I might try to mark them in such a way that we'd be able to tell if it happened again.
The other devices were covered in dust, I take it? Unfortunately we lack for that indicator here; I imagine the rain falling has kept it away over time.
[Beat, then she amends:] At least, the devices I inspected were exposed to the elements. There may be one or two beneath the eaves of a roof or other cover.
[Up the stairs! Alisaie will gesture toward one of the devices in particular.]
That one we spent some time trying to operate. It might well be the first worth examining; it's conveniently placed to anyone who might have thought to utilize it last night. I can say with certainty that the handle was pointed straight down.
No, it can't. [She frowns, considering.] Perhaps one of the others will show signs of use? We don't know whether the sounds we heard last night came from only one of these devices, or if all of them were operated.
Failing that, we may be able to mark these in such a way that we could tell if they were used again.
