You wouldn't have gone to investigate a murder scene you were responsible for.
And anyone should have been able to tell you didn't murder Roxis. As you said, you wouldn't kill him in a manner that could be traced back to you easily.
Hahaha, wrong on the first one. I'll do whatever needs to be done to get the job done.
[Matter-of-fact; that's just sort of the way things are in his neck of the woods, really.
(It's just his player wouldn't let him.)
He pauses a bit in thought and then shakes his head; a soft movement of air.]
Well, it was the easier answer? Maybe it was bound to happen sooner or later with all this water even if I didn't do anything, so I might as well have taken my shot. [there is no remorse here, basically, oops] Didn't really expect that many people on the scene, though. I didn't even see any of 'em.
I can't deny you likely would have been accused of a murder taking place on the water, even if you were innocent. But I don't think most of us would have voted for you on that cause alone.
Didn't really do much in the gardens, actually. He was pretty easy to lure out, but he's really into the memory stuff, anyway.
[So like?? Maybe this city was Revali's kryptonite, in a way?
Maybe he would have had more to say about the water murders but then he just busts out laughing for some reason? It goes on for a bit because, okay, he needs a minute.]
Oh, wow. That was my bad, actually. Uh. You know the pool table?
[Her face goes blank for a moment. And then, incredulously, she begins to laugh as well.]
It was from the pool cues? Twelve above, and everybody was so focused on it! Even I wondered if it might have been from another entity here beyond our Watchers.
[WHAT THE HELL
Alisaie's going to take a seat now, stretching her legs out and crossing them at the ankle--though she still doesn't come any closer.]
Did the Angel that approached you offer you anything in specific?
Nah, just forgot to clean all of it off, apparently. Blends in really well in the dark, you know?
[But seriously, it was a dumb mistake. He has made his share of them and he will acknowledge them, he just refuses to acknowledge things other people did.
Just a huff, though it's still half-laughing. He's watching her, though he doesn't bother to remark on her getting closer or no. He is perfectly happy to holler across half a house if need be, as their opera house adventure demonstrated.
He stretches a little and shrugs, a shuffle of clothing.]
Yeah. They know pretty much everything, I'm pretty sure. Exactly what's going on and who we are and what to offer. There's power there.
[Definitely a devil's deal, in so many ways. But sometimes you dance with the devil.]
[It's probably not especially difficult to guess some of these symptoms after three weeks and at least one treasure chest adventure directly with A-Qing.
His daemon rises up in a whisper of waves and noses a little closer in the no-man's-land in between, though Suigetsu himself merely continues to watch, taking things in.]
Hmph. If they could do what they said? Yeah, it would be worth it. There's somebody I want out of my way. [...] Out of our way. My team, the real one. If it was just me I'd take him out and that would be the end of it.
People are a pain, you know that?
[It's both thoughtful and kind of sardonic, but at the same time there's something solid wound through it; something like truth. He waves it away, reflexive even if it's dark and also she can't see.]
What about you? Was that worth it, what you did at the end there?
[Alisaie may not be able to see him, but he'll see her lose her casual bearing as Naito noses a little closer, shifting instead so that she can move if necessary. Taf comes forward in his little cat form, hissing a warning at Suigetsu's daemon--stay back.]
[It's kind of funny, actually. The shark does a little loop, circling closer and then farther away, not particularly threatening but probably much more messing around. Daemon and master are the same as always, it seems.
Suigetsu snickers briefly.]
Why would I do that. Not like I've gotta deal with it; you're just messing up on your own time.
[It's the same as always, but at the same time a side of Suigetsu she hasn't seen before, a marked difference from the cheerful, laughing person he'd shown the rest of him. She's grown used to him laughing at others and teasing, but this is the first it feels truly pointed. Having heard that Alphinaud was emotionally linked to him this week, she feels like maybe she understands why he seemed uneasy at times throughout the week.
Or she could be reading too much into it, who knows. At any rate, she won't be dropping her guard again--just in case.]
[Sometimes a fish changes its scales just because it pops up into the sun; not that a shark is particularly a scaly fish, but maybe that's why the deep sea daemon, too.
Still waters run deep; restless waters run a little too everything.
Alphinaud probably got So Much Mental Noise, poor thing. On top of everything else]
So you're sayin' everybody else was doing the wrong thing, then?

I'm not surprised that they do. I can only assume they're watching us even now.

No. I expect that everyone else was likely voting for the person they thought most likely to be a culprit.
