[ Alisaie gets an eyebrow raise, though he chooses not to poke that clear challenge. ]
It might help those on the other side too. [ He's not opposed but he is not going to be the one doing the talking when there two people way better at it than him. ]
Then we're agreed. When next we find the time, we shall tell the others of what happened in the Garden. [Beat--and then Alisaie's groaning.] ...Gods, without van Zieks here, that means the responsibility will fall to me, won't it? Since neither of you were there to hear Uriel's words.
[Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu--
But to Rin:]
The Watchers are already aware of our failure. In spite of all that had happened, we sought to follow up on the plans we had made and spoke with Shamsiel and Suriel after the trial had ended. They have said they'll watch for another opportunity so that we may make things right.
[Rin gets along with Spike so he doesn't question it.]
Hey, at least we worked this out before you got hurt or died, yeah?
[Another opportunity does sound nice though, and he nods.]
We'll make it right, if they can find another chance. If not...well, we might be able to get Xie Lian to help us. When I spoke to him, he recognized 'the kiln' as something from his world.
How much did Baraqiel know? From what I have been told by another of the Watchers, their item was found in a world that had no connection to them. It is possible he knows of the Kiln from his previous interactions with Xie Lian, is it not? I know not what the Watchers have asked you, but I have been asked much and more about my own world.
At any rate, we must needs keep our wits about us and continue searching for a way. I cannot guarantee that we'll find one, but neither am I willing to give up.
[But also Rin let's not talk??? So casually??? About her getting hurt or dying???? Those are scenarios we're trying to avoid, especially since her vision still hasn't returned.]
Baraqiel could know about it from Xie Lian, yeah. Xie Lian seemed afraid of us finding some masked man there, so I think he's actually from that world.
And...they actually didn't ask me too much about my world, now that I think about it. But maybe they just asked Yukio instead.
Uh, a bit? But I think they were just trying to figure me out. [ Hm. ]
If Baraqiel knew about it from Xie Lian then that was the future? He seemed to know that the Kiln was only for the dead and that we shouldn't be there, us and the other group of people he was trying to herd.
Truthfully, I don't know. As I said, the Watcher I spoke to told me they had no connection to the world in which their item was found. But one of those who found the item told me the Watcher had guided them. I have been to a city filled with beings made of one man's memories; though they were not real, they could speak with us and interact. It is possible that the Watchers are placed in these realms in a similar manner.
But there is no way to know what is true, nor do I think it truly important to our ends. What we must ensure is that the others know to look for the Watchers and their items if they are pulled from our location.
Rin, do you have all of van Zieks' possessions? He took a photo of the Garden while we were there which may prove worthwhile. And the camera itself may prove useful going forward.
Thank you, Akira--he did. We ought to share both photos with the others when we speak of it.
There is one more thing we must decide. We all heard the Lord Regent say that he intended to follow us, yes? I think we ought to tell the others that in case they happen to run into him themselves. 'Tis important they be aware of the danger they may face in fighting him. However, if we tell them he means to follow us, we're sure to be asked why. We all must needs have the same answer to that question, even if the answer is that we do not know.

[ A look over to Rin. ]
He took a photo of a mural too before we went up the mountain.
